LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Dave Chappelle has canceled a live performance scheduled for Thursday at the Comedy Festival in Las Vegas. According to The Hollywood Reporter, organizers of the show claimed that Chappelle canceled without explanation.

The festival, being promoted by HBO and AEG Live will still feature Bill Maher who will adjust his start time by an hour, moving it up to 9:30 to cover for Chappelle's absence.

Chappelle has a history of mysteriously walking away from gigs. In 2005, he abruptly left during production of the third season of his extremely popular Comedy Central show, departing for South Africa to reportedly reflect on his career. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
