CM Punk details how WWE Superstars request days off under the Triple H regime

Since taking over the creative realm, Triple H has made significant changes both on and off screen. In addition to a much improved product, WWE superstars backstage have acquired more freedom. Moreover, stars are allowed to prioritize their families, with Hunter understanding the need for it. Speaking about that, CM Punk recently disclosed how employees request days off from management.

During his appearance at Fanatics Fest, Punk revealed that wrestlers can ask for leaves by just clicking an option on their WWE app. The Second City Saint has been open about how poorly the previous regime treated its stars. Despite asking for a break multiple times in 2013, Vince McMahon denied him the opportunity to recuperate from his injuries. This eventually led to his departure after the 2014 Royal Rumble.

In fact, Punk confirmed that his return to WWE wouldn’t have been possible if McMahon was still running things. The former chairman retired in July 2022 before forcing his way back to his position to initiate a sale for his company. After merging with the UFC under the Endeavor umbrella in September 2023, McMahon resumed his role. However, he ended up resigning again in January 2024 following a lawsuit of s*xual trafficking filed against him.

Wrestlers in WWE now have the option to request days off whenever they want with just a click on their WWE app under the new regime.

Meanwhile, Triple H slowly gained more power and trust in the locker room. As such, the former WWE Champion has garnered praise from other stars as well for his impact on the healthy environment backstage. Not only Punk, but veterans such as Randy Orton outlined how McMahon treated him when he confided with the boss about his back issues.

CM Punk to send a message to Drew McIntyre on Raw

On last week’s Raw episode, CM Punk finally exacted revenge on Drew McIntyre. The Best in the World baited his rival, who interrupted the segment involving Gunther and Randy Orton. Punk engaged in a brawl with a distracted McIntyre. The latter removed his belt, which backfired on him.

Punk launched a ruthless attack on The Scottish Warrior, continuously whipping him with the belt before he retreated. Following this turn of events, WWE announced that The Second City Saint will be in town for tomorrow’s episode of Raw. Moreover, Punk has a message to deliver to McIntyre.

Many expect the former AEW wrestler to lay down a challenge to the Scot for Bash in Berlin. Further, the bout will reportedly be contested under Strap Match rules. After McIntyre emerged victorious at SummerSlam, Punk will look to gain his first WWE singles win in over a decade.
