CM Punk gives nod to Kendrick Lamars diss track on Drake by drawing comparison of his rivalry wit
The wrestling world seems to have its own version of the rivalry between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have an extremely heated feud dating back to January of this year. The Straight Edge Superstar has gone a step further, as he recently drew comparisons between Lamar and himself.
The Best in the World recently shared a montage video on his Instagram account. The video features ‘Euphoria,’ Kendrick Lamar’s diss track on Drake, as the background music. Further, the video contains several clips of Punk’s WWE career since his return at Survivor Series: WarGames in Chicago.
As expected, many of these clips showcase his feud with McIntyre. From their first Raw promo in January to their WrestleMania XL encounter to Punk outsmarting the Scottish Warrior last week, it provides a detailed synopsis of their rivalry so far.
Punk titled the video “EuPhilia,” referring to the diss track’s name and his real name, Phil Brooks. The video ends with the 45-year-old’s promo from last week on Raw as the music continues playing in the background. This promo also contained a nod to the same Kendrick Lamar diss track.
Drew McIntyre missed out on running into his arch-nemesis by just a few seconds on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. This resulted in the former WWE Champion posting a video on X addressing the Chicago native. He called out the former AEW star for intentionally avoiding confrontation. Further, McIntyre accused Punk of only biding his time, realizing that the former was closing in on him.
The Chosen One called his rival a hypocrite. He accused him of simply pretending to be locked inside the WWE headquarters. He added that Punk had only had one televised fight since his return, in which he got injured by McIntyre. Since then, he has been playing hide and seek, thinking that he is winning, which he is not.
Lastly, McIntyre added that if Punk turned up in Glasgow, he would not leave in one piece. He captioned the video, saying that he was sick and tired of the childish games. McIntyre needed to vent out his frustrations and didn’t get to say all this on Raw. If it wasn’t clear already, he simply could not stand CM Punk.
