The variety of vegetation is very useful to the players as they provide raw resources that help to make many different items. These are also varied in their locations and growth, as some can be found in only particular biomes and do not grow anywhere else.
The Minecraft Cactus is a plant found only in the driest biomes in the Overworld.

The Cactus is a plant that is found in arid regions such as desert biomes and has spikes on it body. The body of the Cactus is a chunky green with black strips and rows of spikes running down all over it.

Locations
Cacti can be found in Desert biomes and badlands biomes where they can grow up to 3 blocks tall. Players can also find them in village chests and in igloos.
Wandering traders also sell cactus for 3 Emeralds.
Players can break them using their hand without taking any damage.
Uses
Players can farm Cactus in Minecraft using the sand, red sand or placing it on another cactus blocks. Players cannot use bone meal to accelerate the growth of the cactus.
Players can hurt mobs and player and entity that touches it. Each tick of Cactus does 1 health damage to mobs and players. This damage is reduced by armor. However, a potted cactus does not deal damage.
The Cactus also destroys any dropped items or blocks that it touches. Similarly, if a moving Minecart hits a cactus, then it drops as a item.
They can be used to make green dye by smelting them in a Furnace.
Cactus can also be placed in a Composter to have the compost level raise by 1. This produces bone meal.
