R. Kelly/Jay-Z Cancel Milwaukee And Hartford Shows
(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —
Technical problems have forced R. Kelly and Jay-Z to cancel two appearances in their continuing "Best of Both Worlds" concert tour. The October 24 show at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI, and the October 26 concert scheduled for the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, CT have both been scratched.
The tour will resume as scheduled on October 28, when they kick off the first of five dates in the New York metropolitan area, with a concert at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. This show will be followed by appearances at Madison Square Garden in New York City on October 29-30; a show at the Continental Arena in East Rutherford, NJ, on October 31; and another appearance at Madison Square Garden on November 1.
"The artists want to apologize to everyone who bought tickets to the Milwaukee and Hartford shows," a tour spokesman said. "They are as disappointed as anyone that they won't be able to perform as scheduled. These concerts are extremely complicated stage shows with a multitude of special effects, dance numbers, and lighting and sound cues, and unfortunately we need to take a few days off to work out some technical problems."
Holders of tickets to the cancelled concerts will be entitled to full refunds. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
