Taylor Swift Donates $50000 to Baton Rouge Food Bank & Undisclosed Amount to Salvation Army
Taylor Swift promised to donate $1 million to help victims of the Louisiana floods which killed at least 13 people and damaged tens of thousands of homes and businesses.
Swift, 26, recently donated $50,000 to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank–following which the nonprofit organization shared a message on Twitter and Instagram on Thursday to thank the the singer for her reach out and kindness.
“Today @taylorswift donated $50,000 to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank! The #laflood destroyed our warehouse but we are going to shake it off!” the instagram post read.
And it was not just the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank that benefited from Taylor’s generosity, the Salvation Army also tweeted to thank the musician for supporting them.
“Thank you @taylorswift13 for helping us serve the #LouisianaFlood survivors by donating to our relief efforts! #DoingTheMostGood,” the tweet said.
